Mei Tai just finished and listed on ArtFire

I was in the mood to do another baby sling. I have fabric to make another, but it's just not the prints and colors I had in mind. This one, though, I just love. I like the colors and the shapes. It's lined with polar fleece so it's oh so soft against baby skin. I need to cart the baby around in it a bit when he wakes. I tried it out on Katie. I made some booties out of the scraps. I need to get started on a custom order, but I thought I'd check in and show you what's been on my mind and in my sewing machine today. Click the pictures to be taken to the shop.

Almost... (a giveaway!!!!)

I'm almost to 800 sales. I'm excited about that because that means that I have a reason to celebrate! I've made well over 1000 belly bands, and I've been having fun working with my mom. Whoever buys that 800th sale is in for a special treat with their order. I haven't completely decided what that will be, so if that lucky person is you, and you have a preference, let me know! Here to my right you can see the new Shop CutieFruity feature. I love it. This handy gadget allows you to shop from my ArtFire shop without signing up for the site, unlike Etsy. No username or password to remember, just shop. You can buy right from the blog! I encourage all of you who have discovered how in love you are with Etsy, PUH-LEASE go check out ArtFire. It's just as cool...if not cooler. I'm still deciding, but this little guy right here got ArtFire a one-up from me for sure.

Oh! and my White Camisole Belly Band was the featured item of the hour tonight. I missed it since I was out partying with my friends. Does pizza and movie night at the in-laws while the kids play together count as partying? meh.

Now selling on Art Fire

A member of my etsy team told me about Art Fire tonight and I went to go check it out. The site is rudimentary, still in beta testing, but you can't beat the cheap monthly unlimited listing fee. Right now it's $7 a month for life and there are about 3000 slots left at that price. If you get 10 other people to join you can get it free for life. It's a lot like Etsy, but cheaper with less frills (so far). It's been on my mind lately to find more venues to sell, and Art Fire looked like it could be a good thing for CutieFruity. If you are interested in selling at Art Fire, please list me as your reffering seller when you sign up. It will say "artfire user name", and that's where you type CutieFruity. I hope it will work out as well for me as Etsy has. Not trying to claim loyalty to one or the other (since Art Fire is really a copycat), just trying to use all my options. You can sign up here.
