By The Seashore

I’ve paired up with Crystal of Digital Scrap Fun to bring you a collab called By The Seashore, a great set of kits for beach layouts or other such adventures. Here is my version. It has 40 elements, several of them themed, but still all the essentials for any layout. There are 22 papers. I almost couldn’t help myself. I love making papers!

Woolly Bully

In 2009, at age 5, my daughter entered the Mutton Bustin’ competition at our county fair and rodeo. I was so proud of her for getting on the sheep not once, but twice! Once for prelims and then the finals. She got drug on the ground a ways during the prelims and I was kind of worried, but knew she’d be okay with her dad, papa, and all their friends there. I couldn’t believe it when they announced her finals score and it was the highest of the night! Listening as 5000 PRCA Rodeo fans cheered her on during her victory ride was my most exciting mommy moment to that date.

I’ve been holding off scrapping about it for a long time because I want the perfect kit. I never found it, so I had to make one. And that, my fellow scrappers, is how Woolly Bully came to be. It’s stuffed with 40 elements, 20 papers, and an alpha. There is also a separate pack of glitters available. You can pick them up HERE.

Curious

My kids and I really enjoy watching Curious George. It gives us a good jumping off point for our science and math, and it’s nice for a bit of time to unwind and cuddle on the couch. Curious is a kit full of fun with George. It has 36 elements, 18 papers, and a flair alpha. The Scrappy Kat has also made a kit with the same color palette!

December Stuff to Scrap Road Trip

For this months road trip, we are heading out to the country, over the river, and through the woods for Christmas. I’ve had my eye on this palette for a while and I was excited that it was chosen for the road trip this month.

I haven’t done any creative team work in a while, but since I have a daughter with Amblyopia that wears glasses, I jumped at the chance to work with Spectacular Spectacles from Mommy Made This.  I love that there is a bespectacled little girl in this kit that looks JUST like my Katie. Katie likes it, too.

Everyday Elegance: An STS Road Trip

Welcome to this pit stop on the Stuff to Scrap road trip! Natalie by CutieFruity

This is Natalie.  She is my niece.

This little miracle was born 7 weeks early at 3lbs 13oz, and only had to stay in the NICU for 2 weeks. She is now 4 months old and weighs over 8lbs, finally the size of a newborn. We all oooh and aaah over tiny baby clothes, but Natalie’s are really REALLY tiny. She’s just barely grown out of preemie size.

This is Natalie, my newest kit.

Inspired by all those tiny clothes, in the brightest girly colors that are so popular right now, Natalie has 16 papers and 30 elements in flourishes, flowers, frames, and flair, and more.  You can pick it up in the CutieFruity store at STS. It has been quality checked to meet Stuff to Scrap’s high standards.

To go with this kit, I made a little add-on freebie with three papers and four elements. You can get it here.

Double Duty Day

I have a double post for you. I have been scrapping like mad, and designing like crazy lately. I need to catch up and share with you all that I have been doing!

First up is AmyDane Designs Something Beautiful kit. It has a few butterflies in honor of a very special someone. To find out more about it, you’ll have to get the kit at Stuff to Scrap. The story is touching. I used this kit at a Speed Scrap, and since it was slow, I did TWO layouts during the scrap, and got them both in on time! It was fun!

 

One is of my daughter getting an IV, and the other is from my bathroom makeover a while back. And just for added measure, I scrapped a picture of my kids and their great grandparents with this kit. The font on this page is called eight-fifteen. For the split photo, I used 4 rectangle shapes with drop shadows, Made my photo big enough to cover it all, copied my photo to make 4 copies, and then clipped them to the  shapes.

Next  up is a kit just in time for Easter from Scraps By Andrea called A Bunny’s Tale. There are some really awesome patterned papers in here, PLUS a separate cardstock and polka dot paper pack are available!

  

The second layout I did for the Scraplift Challenge in the STS forums this month. Such a great layout to glean from. Any time I get in a scrapping funk, I head straight to the forum to see if there is a challenge that peaks my interest. You get points for doing challenges at STS, and once you get so many, you earn a gift certificate to the store to buy anything your heart desires!

I made a little alpha to go with Andrea’s kit. It has just upper case, with separate letters and a contact sheet. Click the pic to download. Enjoy!
